Whaleback’s Managed Business Telephony Saves School District 25 Percent Over In-House PBX Solutions
PORTSMOUTH, N.H., OCTOBER 21, 2009—Whaleback Systems™ today announced that the Burlington County Special Services School District, a public school educating youngsters with special needs, has deployed its managed voice service across its four school campuses. Using CrystalBlue Voice™, the school has gained outstanding sound quality and reliability at a fraction of the cost of an in-house PBX. This unique managed voice service is saving the school 25 percent over alternative solutions.
Based in Westhampton Township, New Jersey, the Burlington County Special Services School District educates more than 1,000 students with special needs. After vetting phone solutions for factors such as ease of implementation, performance, E911 capabilities, and dependability, it was clear there was one choice: CrystalBlue Voice Service from Whaleback Systems. The managed voice service offers outstanding sound fidelity, supported by innovative service management technology that proactively manages network quality.
The school’s IT provider Primary Communications Technologies (PCT), a subsidiary of Cablenet Services, was hired to install the new phone system across all classrooms and offices. PCT was more than up to the task, deploying the entire system consisting of two IP-based PBXs and 380 HD compatible phone stations in less than five days.
“Whaleback technology can easily scale as our needs change,” said Ryan Van Laeys, Technology Facilitator for the Burlington County Special Services School District. “It’s the ideal platform to grow with. What’s more, having a managed solution has enabled us to rein in phone costs.”
“Using a combination of Polycom phones with CrystalBlue Voice Service, the school district can take advantage of HD voice technology, which means higher fidelity voice calls at an affordable price,” said David Zwicker of Whaleback Systems. “With this technology, we’re able to double the sampling rate, which radically improves voice clarity.”
