The performance of the Executive IP Handsets is monitored at Whaleback's central network operations center, and alerts are automatically generated if a handset receives unacceptable performance due to network conditions or broadband cable or DSL conditions so that steps can be taken right away to ensure acceptable performance for sending and receiving calls.

Executive IP Handsets are just plugged into the Ethernet network and are operational in seconds. All "soft buttons" are pre-programmed before delivery with common codes to frequently used features determined by the customer, such as checking voice mail. Moves, adds and changes are easy. If an Executive IP Handset is plugged into a different Ethernet connection, it will automatically home itself back to the OrcaServer IP PBX.

Our phones can also be deployed in remote locations with broadband access, such as home offices. All calls will pass through the OrcaServer IP PBX and remote users will still have easy access to all of the robust IP telephony services as if they were physically located at the primary location. Whaleback automatically downloads software upgrades to the Executive IP Handsets periodically without the need for customer participation to provide a clear migration path to support emerging IP features.
